K100
The K100 is Kerr's reference, and the largest thing the company builds: a three-way standing 1268mm tall on a 310mm Radial woofer, with a 75mm dome midrange hung on an eight-kilogram magnet and an 80mm ribbon whose diaphragm weighs thirty-six thousandths of a gram. It runs from 16Hz to 45kHz — no other Kerr goes lower — out of 24mm Baltic birch plywood, and it weighs 78 kilos a cabinet, which tells you most of what there is to know about how it is made. The mk.2 change is all in the crossover: a smoother upper midrange and treble, less glare, less fatigue at the end of a long session. This is a monitor first and a domestic loudspeaker second, and it does not pretend otherwise.
